Set in the stunning hills of Dungog Shire, Carriageway offers visitors a unique hospitality experience. Among our accommodation offers are our restored ‘Red Rattler’ train carriages that provide accommodation for families, couples or friends alike, and offer the opportunity for adventure or relaxation in the district.
Our swimming pool will be open to guests from Sunday 27th December between the hours of 12pm and 6pm. For us to open the swimming pool we must operate within guidelines and restrictions set out from the NSW government. These are:
- You will be required to check in using QR scanners. To speed up this process we ask that you already have the service NSW app already downloaded. The app can be downloaded by following https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/campaign/service-nsw-mobile-app.
- We will not be able to provide pool towels and ask that you bring your own.
- Our staff have completed COVID 19 training and will be cleaning, sanitising and implementing restrictions whilst the pool is open.
- Social distancing must be always adhered to. This includes whilst you are in the pool. For this reason, there is a limit to our capacity and it may not be possible to accommodate all guests at certain times.
For a more romantic getaway we offer a number of traditional country style apartments. We also have a beautiful two bedroom cottage with stunning views of the Dungog countryside, which lends itself to a very comfortable stay for families or two couples.
Carriageway is a great base for a family holiday. From mountain biking and swimming to bush walking, the great outdoors is right at your doorstep. Dungog Shire is the southern gateway to world heritage listed Barrington Tops National Park home to some of the most unique ecosystems in the world.
